League Notes:

League Details:

  • Format: This Coed Soccer League is played 6-on-6 (including the goalie)
  • Game Length: Games are 55 minutes long (including 5 minutes to warm up).
  • Gender Requirements: Teams must have 2 males and 2 females on the field at all times 
  • Length of Season: This Season is 8 weeks long (6 weeks of regular season). We play rain or shine (rained out games may be made up on another night).
  • Playoffs: Every team is guaranteed 2 weeks of playoffs, with the top 4 teams playing for the championship.
  • Exclusion Dates: None.
  • Jerseys: Teams are not required to have team jerseys, but we recommend teams wear matching shirts.
  • Rules: Please review the league rules online: https://www.averagejoesports.ca/rules.php.
  • Officials: Every game will be self-officiated, meaning players call their own fouls, penalties, etc.
  • Net: Clarkson SS Turf Field DOES have some City-owned 7v7 size nets that can be used by teams. However, as a back-up, teams may use 'iGoals' Portable Soccer Nets (5 ft H x 8 ft W). Step-by-step instructions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ff22IGHlME)
  • Other: All registration fees are subject to HST. Your spot is not guaranteed until you have paid in full.
  • Due to limited turf availability spaces for this league are limited; we will accept teams in the order in which we receive payment.


Convenience fee on credit card payments: There will be a convenience fee of 2% on the total payment (Fee + HST + equipment deposit) charged to all credit card payments. If you prefer to avoid this charge, e-Transfer, cash and cheque payments are not subject to this fee. When requesting a refund (subject to our refund policy), the convenience fee will not be refunded (as it is not refunded by the credit card processor company on our end).


Average Joe Sports Club reserves the right to switch players/teams into a different division based on numbers and skill levels.

There are no refunds after the registration deadline.

Location Notes:

  • Games will be played at the Clarkson Secondary School Turf Field in Mississauga - main location (this location does have some city-owned 7v7 size metal nets that can be used if available. If not, please use portable soccer net.)
  • Other turf fields may be used in the area such as Loyola SS, Courtneypark SS or others
