League Notes:

We are all anxious to get back to playing. As we are currently in Stage 2 of Ontario's re-opening, games are currently not allowed. We are opening up summer leagues in anticipation of the laws allowing games to be played later this summer as the province further relaxes the restrictions. Please note the following:


Special Notes Due to the Pandemic

  • The exact start and end dates may have to be changed based on the timing of restrictions being lifted
  • Some aspects before, after or during the game may have to be augmented to comply with provincial restrictions
  • If, for whatever reason, the season does not happen at all, all registrations will be refunded in full
  • If the season cannot be finished due to restrictions changing after starting the season, and the season has not reached the halfway point, all registrations will be given a prorated refund
  • If the season cannot be finished due to restrictions changing after starting the season, and the season has reached the halfway point, all registrations will be given a prorated credit  
  • All players will have to be on the roster before playing (which is always the rule but it will be strictly enforced for the purpose of contact tracing)



  • Format: This Co-ed Beach Volleyball League is played 6-on-6 on an outdoor Beach Volleyball Court
  • Game Length: All games are 55 minutes in length
  • Gender Requirements: Teams should have at least 2 males and 2 females on the court at all times 
  • Length of Season: The Season is 8 weeks long (6 weeks of regular season + 2 playoff games)
  • Exclusions: No exclusions
  • Playoffs: Every team is guaranteed 2 weeks of playoffs, with the top 4 teams playing for the championship
  • Officials: Every game will be self-officiated.
  • Equipment: The nets & lines will be set up every week by the City and our convener will provide the game balls
  • Other: All registration fees are subject to HST. Your spot is not guaranteed until you have paid in full


Skill Level Breakdown:

  • Recreational: Players have very basic skills (Serving, Bumping, Setting). Some teams and players may be playing in an organized Volleyball League for the first time
  • Intermediate: Players have good skills (Serving, Bumping, Setting). Most teams and players have played in an organized Volleyball League before


Average Joe Sports Club reserves the right to switch players/teams into a different division based on numbers and skill levels.

  • All games will be played at Lakefront Promenade Beach Volleyball Courts (800 Lakefront Promenade, Mississauga)
