Recreational (3-on-3) Basketball

Registration

League Notes:

• This league will be 3-on-3 basketball played on a half court
• Unlike the rest of Average Joe Sports Club leagues, there are NO requirements for females
• Females are welcome, but they should be prepared to play against mostly males (there are currently several females in the winter league)
• It is expected that all players have the basic skills of basketball (dribbling, shooting, passing) but may not have much experience playing organized ball (high school, intramurals, rec leagues, etc)
• All games are 55 minutes in length
• All games are self-officiated (call your own)
• This is a fun league so no hyper competitive and aggressive players please
• The spring season is 9 weeks long (1 game per week) - 7 weeks of regular season and 2 weeks of playoffs (all teams get 2 weeks of play during playoffs even if they aren't going for the "championship") 

What level should I/my team play in?

Recreational -  Very basic skills

Intermediate - Players have good skills.  Players probably all have played basketball at High School level...but may be lacking one or more of 1) a strong post player 2) a ball handler 3) a strong shooter

Competitive - Each team has a strong post player, a ball handler and a strong shooter (or multiple players have a combination of the three)

Average Joe Sports Club reserves the right to switch players/teams into a different division based on numbers and skill levels

• The games will be played at Oakville Trafalgar High School (Trafalger and Cornwall area of Oakville).
